Anna R. Edwards, Ph.D., specializes in the treatment and research of anxiety disorders, including obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
Dr. Edwards is a cognitive behavioral therapist who uses acceptance-based approaches. In addition, she practices schema therapy, an integrative treatment approach that utilizes cognitive, behavioral and experiential techniques, in working with individuals with longstanding difficulties, including chronic depression and personality disorders.
Areas of Research
Dr. Edwards examines the impact of psychological and psychiatric treatments on individuals struggling with anxiety and depression. She is also interested in the factors that increase or decrease the effectiveness of treatment.
