Ariela Frieder, MD

 

Dr. Frieder is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is an Attending Psychiatrist at Montefiore Medical Center where she works in a Primary Care & High Risk OBGYN clinic. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Frieder teaches and supervises fellows, residents and medical students. Prior to moving to the United States to complete her formation in Psychiatry, Dr. Frieder was a practicing OBGYN in Argentina, her country of origin.   

Dr. Frieder conducted her training in adult psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Upon the completion of her studies, Dr. Frieder continued to work at Montefiore where she specializes in Women’s Mental Health.   
 
Dr. Frieder has a private practice in Forest Hills, Queens. In addition to adult psychiatry, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy for adults, Dr. Frieder provides consultations and treatment for women with mental health issues associated to the different stages of the reproductive cycle (pregnancy, postpartum, hormonal contraception, premenstrual dysforic disorder, PMS and menopause). Dr. Frieder practices in English and Spanish.
