Dr. Gelder is a New York State licensed psychologist with a focus on the treatment of eating disorders and body image concerns. She employs an integrative approach to treatment, aimed at both reducing symptoms and increasing insight into underlying factors. For the past five years, Dr. Gelder has worked at Barnard College as a psychologist and eating disorder specialist, providing both individual and group treatment. In her private practice, areas of focus include eating and body image concerns, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal issues. Dr. Gelder works collaboratively with psychiatrists, nutritionists, and internists as needed.
