Psychologist in Private Practice

Description of Practice/Services Offered

I specialize in evaluating and working with preschoolers, school aged children and adolescents with a range of psychological, educational and neuropsychological issues.  These issues include developmental delays, learning disorders, chronic medical conditions, divorce, remarriage, adoption and PTSD.  As part of the process, I work closely with each child’s family and offer parent guidance.  While trained in a psychodyamic approach, I incorporate cognitive behavioral strategies and a deep understanding of attachment research and neuropsychology into my work.

Areas of Research

The emotional experience of a woman’s first pregnancy and the development of her parenting style. The impact of the quality of marital adaptation on prenatal maternal representations and postnatal satisfaction with social support.
